Inside the Atelier: Marty's Vision for the Future of Sustainable Luxury
Luxury today is no longer defined by aesthetics alone.
True luxury is measured by how something is made, the integrity behind its craftsmanship, the quality of its materials, and the responsibility woven into every detail.
At our Chelsea atelier, sustainability is not treated as a passing statement or marketing trend. It is a standard embedded into the way we design, source, and create. Every decision we make is guided by a commitment to delivering garments that offer not only beauty, but exceptional comfort, longevity, and performance for the women who wear them.
We are proud that 56% of our fabrics are sourced from our Eco range, a carefully curated collection selected for its reduced environmental impact without compromising on elegance, texture, or couture-level finish. These fabrics are chosen with the same attention to detail as every silhouette we create, ensuring that sustainability and luxury exist seamlessly together.
To maintain the highest standards of responsibility and quality, we partner exclusively with mills that meet globally recognised certifications, including REACH compliance and ISO 14001:2015 accreditation. These standards ensure that every stage of production, from fibre development to fabric finishing, is managed with environmental care, ethical consideration, and technical excellence.
Our continued investment in material innovation allows us to incorporate advanced sustainable textiles into modern couture design, including:
– SEAQUAL® textiles, created using recycled marine waste recovered from oceans and coastal environments, helping to protect marine ecosystems while transforming waste into refined luxury fabrics
– rNylon yarn, developed from reclaimed industrial fibres, giving new life to existing materials while significantly reducing landfill impact and resource consumption
Alongside these innovations, we prioritise formaldehyde-free production methods, safer dyeing processes, and certified manufacturing standards that support both environmental responsibility and wearer wellbeing. The result is clothing that not only looks exquisite, but also feels softer, safer, and more comfortable against the skin.
For us, sustainability is not about limitation. It is about refinement.
It is about creating garments with purpose, longevity, and integrity, pieces designed to be treasured beyond a single season.
Because true luxury should offer more than beauty alone.
It should offer confidence: confidence in craftsmanship, confidence in quality, and confidence in making a conscious choice without compromise.
