ISABELL KRISTENSEN COUTURE
At House of Kristensen, there are no limitations to creativity. We thrive on creative artistic freedom & expression. Whilst we will always respect the unique needs of your event, however tame, we will always seek to deliver a uniquely beautiful design. We take inspiration from the world around us, and weave it into flowing fabrics, elegant embelishments, and delicate details to bring the design to life. Our gowns are made to be an extension of the women who wear them, self-expression through needle & thread.
THE ART OF COUTURE
Couture is slow fashion in its purest form. Genuine Couture involves a personalised proces in which no product or design is standardised for efficiency. Each garment is carefully created to the unique specifications of the wearer.
Because creating a custom piece is a process, it will take time. Of course, our team love a challenge! So we can work miracles if time isn’t on our side, but the usual recommendation is to order as soon as possible. Typically not less than 6 months for Bridal & Not less than 3 months for other Couture wear. It is important to bear in mind, many of our fabrics our bespoke, therefore it can take up to 8 weeks just receive the materials from the mill if we do not have it in stock. Enquire about our early booking discounts for when you can plan ahead.
THE SHAPE OF A WOMAN
We celebrate individuality. Uniform design for everyone would be frightfully dull! Our gowns are made - and alterered - to complement and enhance the beauty of their wearer. Isabell Kristensen couture pieces are created to celebrate life’s big moments, and we think you should live comfortably in them. That is why we work with our clients to ensure that each piece not only fits perfectly to your individual shape, but lifts you up and makes you feel even more beautiful.
We relish in the opportunity to challenge our team to the limits of their needlecraft & garment construction skills. All aspects of House of Kristensen design are completed in house. This means we can customise and tailor all elements of the garment to each individual creation. We have our own specialists in Pattern making, fine ladies tailoring, appliquee, embroidery, lace-work and fabric manipulation such as smocking.
There is never a dull day in our sourcing department! We draw enormous pleasure from the immense splendour & diversity of fabulous fabrics we work with. Increasingly, we have introduced sustainable alternatives, but have been meticulously assessing such introductions to ensure these only add to the quality of finish, and not detract from it. We were proud to have increased the share of sustainable fabric in our bridal collection to 50% this year.
